And so came the final week of our Profitable Tourism Business studies, and what a week it was! We had business plan seminars in two days and heard seven magnificent new business ideas. A digital marketing agency, sustainable eco-house village, SkyWalk nature experience and a room escape game company were some examples of the presented business ideas. The main take away from this week was understanding the importance of a detailed and comprehensive business plan. It is not enough to come up with an idea for the business but one must also consider the market analysis, target groups, vision and mission statements and most importantly the finances. Will the business be profitable? And where will you get the funding? We also got valuable feedback how to develop our own business plan and the main insight was to take time and carefully calculate the balance sheet.
